A celebrated French author and dramatist, Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt has had his work performed in 30 countries around the world. An academic, with a doctorate in philosophy, Schmitt taught at the University of Chambery during the Eighties. World religion plays a big part in his prose and stagewriting.
