David Mitchell
David Mitchell is one of the best-known British authors writing today. Following studies at the University of Kent, he lived in Spain for a year before moving to Hiroshima, Japan. His first novel, Ghostwritten, was published in 1999 and draws on Mitchell's experience of living in different places around the world. His second and third novels were both short-listed for the Man Booker Prize and in 2007 Mitchell was named as one of Time Magazine's 100 most influential people in the world.
