Douglas Adams
Douglas Adams studied English at Cambridge, during which time he was involved with a student comedy group, working alongside many of the performers who went on to make up Monty Python. In 1977, he created a science fiction radio show for BBC Radio 4, a project which later, in heavily altered and extend form, would be reincarnated as The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
