[ book tip by Amy Brown ] Sometimes you just need to read something that I like to call 'brain-fluff' literature and this is exactly that. I always enjoy Pauline McLynn's books. They are what can only be described as 'chick-lit', but this is chick-lit with a difference. The story is about a private detective who, as part of her work, is forced to take part in a cookery weekend and, of course, hilarity ensues. Admittedly it's not the best of her books ('Missing you already' is my favourite) but it is definitely worth a read, especially if you want a book that you don't have to think too much about.
